Are you looking for a work environment which encourages teamwork and where you are respected, supported, challenged, and can grow and advance your career? If your answer is “yes,” you should join T-Mobile’s All-Star Legal Team!

The State AG Analyst will be a key member of the State Attorney General team in T-Mobile’s Government Affairs department, based in the Washington, D.C. office. The State AG team interacts with state attorneys general and their staff members nationwide to address issues and advocate on policies impacting T-Mobile. The right candidate will have a passion for public policy and legal issues along with great written and communication skills to assist the team in meeting ambitious policy and advocacy objectives.

What You’ll Do In Your Role.
  • Compile, analyze, and distribute a weekly State Attorneys General report summarizing multistate and individual AG enforcement activity, policy trends, and legal and regulatory developments across all 50 states and U.S. territories for internal legal, regulatory, and business teams
  • Monitor and track State AG media coverage and social media activity with potential impact on the company’s brand, regulatory posture, or business operations, providing timely alerts and trend analysis to internal stakeholders

  • Compile Government Affairs input for Board of Directors decks and for the weekly briefings from the EVP of Government Affairs to the General Counsel
  • Interact with internal business units and Legal subject matter experts to collect information and follow up as needed so briefings, presentations, and Board materials are accurate, current, and consistent
  • Analyze and summarize Attorney General lawsuits and enforcement actions on relevant topics related to big tech, communications service providers, and other areas of focus and concern, and track attorney general consumer protection enforcement trends
  • Track State AG antitrust enforcement actions, as federal-level approvals are not indicative of results at the state level
  • Track FTC and DOJ proceedings in which State Attorneys General are involved
  • Monitor, track, and analyze state legislation and privacy rulemakings with potential AG enforcement implications, providing timely analysis to the Government Affairs team to inform proactive engagement and risk mitigation, and coordinating with the internal Litigation group as necessary
  • Manage external-facing government affairs communications and serve as a coordination point with outside consultants and trade association contacts to align messaging and strategy, including sending T‑Mobile briefings to consultant teams for distribution to State AG offices
  • Manage, track, and help develop strategy for the company’s state-level corporate political giving program, ensuring alignment with government affairs objectives and compliance with all applicable legal and ethical requirements; work with Accounts Payable and Legislative teams to process giving requests; and assist with tracking state corporate contribution reporting requirements and compiling information for those reports
  • Conduct regulatory, legislative, compliance, and legal research, using AI tools, to support both proactive strategy and reactive responses to AG inquiries, investigations, and enforcement actions
  • Use AI and automation to capture and catalogue AG actions, trends, filings, and press releases that may impact T-Mobile policy and compliance, then synthesize the results and apply human judgment and internal follow-up to produce a consistent, reliable work product
  • Collaborate with other State AG team members on strategic outreach initiatives
The Experience You’ll Bring.
