Skyward IT Solutions, LLC is seeking a Platform Governance & Reporting Engineer to strengthen our enterprise AI platform with governance, monitoring, and trusted reporting.

You will build dashboards and automated pipelines, define guardrails, and collaborate across engineering, security, and CMS stakeholders while embracing a flexible remote work model and modern DevOps practices.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years in DevOps, platform, or systems engineering.
• Strong AWS and DevOps skills: IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD, and cloud-native monitoring.
• Hands-on observability and reporting tooling experience (Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar).
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash.

Responsabilidades

• Help manage CMS enterprise AI platform with governance and health visibility.
• Stand up monitoring, metrics, and dashboards to visualize platform health.
• Replace manual status gathering with automated governance and reporting pipelines.
• Define and enforce guardrails for usage, access, and operations across a multi-team platform.
• Utilize infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD to embed governance by design.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and CMS stakeholders in a one-team culture.

We need a Platform Governance & Reporting Engineer.

Do you believe a dashboard should tell a story, not just blink at people? Are you the kind of engineer who automates the report nobody wanted to run by hand, and then quietly saves everyone an afternoon a week? After five years, you know that good governance isn't red tape, it's the thing that lets people move fast without breaking the platform.

What you'll do:

• Help CMS run its enterprise AI platform with the visibility and governance that keep it healthy and trusted.
• Stand up monitoring, metrics, and dashboards (think Datadog and cloud-native tooling) that turn platform health into something the whole team can see.
• Replace manual status-gathering with automated pipelines that produce clean, on-demand governance and performance reporting.
• Define and enforce the guardrails (usage, access, and operational standards) that keep a multi-team platform running smoothly.
• Use infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD so governance and reporting are built in, not bolted on.
• Collaborate across engineering, security, and CMS stakeholders in a badgeless, one-team culture.

What we'd like you to have:

• A bachelor's degree and 5+ years in DevOps, platform, or systems engineering.
• Solid AWS and DevOps skills: IaC (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD, and cloud-native monitoring.
• Real experience with observability and reporting tooling (Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk, or similar).
• Comfort scripting and automating in Python or Bash.

What would blow us away:

• Experience with platform governance or FinOps (cost/usage reporting, showback/chargeback).
• Familiarity with FISMA, RMF, ARS, or IS2P2 governance.
• Previous experience supporting CMS or another federal agency.

$105,000 - $125,000 a year
