Job description

The Operational Mapping Program is an enterprise-wide initiative responsible for designing, managing and governing the Firm’s inventory of business processes and operational dependencies. The program underpins critical regulatory and risk management use cases, including Business Continuity Management (BCM), Operational Resilience, Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP), and Non-Financial Risk assessments.
The Governance and Delivery Lead will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and operationalization of the Target Operating Model. The role will also assume key portions of existing program leadership scope, including stakeholder engagement, data quality oversight, and program governance.
The successful candidate will partner across Business, Risk, Technology, and Regulatory stakeholders to ensure Operational Mapping capabilities are scalable, fit-for-purpose, and aligned to evolving regulatory expectations. This role will be critical in translating strategic design into practical, repeatable processes that drive consistency, data quality, and adoption across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Target Operating Model Design & Operationalization
    > Support the end-to-end design and execution of the Operational Mapping strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and firm-wide risk frameworks
    > Support the translation of strategy into actionable standards, workflows, and governance processes to enable consistent execution across business units
    > Define and implement operating guardrails (e.g., scoping frameworks, criticality methodologies, validation rules) to drive consistent alignment and decision-making
    > Partner with Technology to embed requirements into tooling capabilities, including data models, workflows, and automation
    > Drive continuous improvement of the operating model, incorporating stakeholder feedback, data insights, and regulatory changes
  2. Program Leadership & Delivery
    > Lead key aspects of the Operational Mapping Program, assuming ownership of key delivery pillars
    > Lead delivery of priority initiatives across data quality and program integrations
    > Prioritize program backlog in partnership with Product and Technology teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and business needs
    > Provide oversight of global team deliverables, ensuring high-quality, timely execution across regions
  3. Data Governance, Quality & Reporting
    > Lead firm-wide data quality initiatives, including validation frameworks, exception management, and remediation strategies
    > Partner with stakeholders to ensure Operational Mapping data is accurate, complete, and fit for downstream consumption
    > Advance the use of machine-assisted and data-driven capabilities (e.g., recommender models, linked data insights) to improve data quality and efficiency
    > Oversee reporting outputs to support regulatory submissions and senior management insights
  4. Stakeholder Management & Governance
    > Serve as a senior point of contact for key stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Business functions
    > Partner with program owners to align requirements, reduce duplication, and enable data reuse across the firm
    > Influence senior stakeholders to adopt program standards, resolve data issues, and align on Target Operating Model design and implementation changes
    > Provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership on program progress, risks, and outcomes
    > Drive training, communication, and change management efforts to support adoption of Operational Mapping capabilities[KA1.1]
  5. Cross-Program Integration & Strategic Enablement
    > Ensure Operational Mapping data is effectively leveraged across downstream programs (e.g., BCM, RRP, Operational Resilience, Third Party Risk Management)
    > Support integration with enterprise platforms and data sources
    > Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s data strategy, including adoption of semantic and linked data approaches, as well as agentic AI Required Skills
    > Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, or related quantitative discipline
    > 4-7 years of experience in project management, operating model design, and/or regulatory/risk initiatives within Non-Financial Risk (NFR), Operational Risk Management or Resiliency domains
    > Demonstrated experience driving strategic design and large-scale operationalization
    > Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across functions and geographies
    > Logical thinking, ability to analyze complex data requirements and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
    > Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, actionable insights
    > Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working on complex datasets
Helpful/Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with data governance, controls, metadata, lineage, or data quality frameworks
  • Experience with senior governance forums and executive materials
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, matrixed environments
  • Experience partnering with Technology teams to deliver data and platform solutions
  • Knowledge of semantic data modeling approaches, knowledge graph implementations and integration into large language models (LLMs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data tools (SQL, SPARQL queries, reporting tools) preferred

Salary range for the position: $75,000 and $125,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
