Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Austin is seeking team members to perform all functions related to proper food preparation and maintenance of the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. You will stock, label, and present products while ensuring quality, safety, and courteous service to customers.

You will follow recipes, help with merchandising, maintain clean environments, and work opening, mid, and closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items for cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars per production sheets.
• Prepares items according to recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Labels, dates, covers, and monitors quality and freshness; rotates items.
• Monitors and replenishes stock in a timely manner.
• Arrives on time and participates in required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures and Weights & Measures rules.
• Maintains clean, sanitary work and shopping areas; keeps equipment clean and organized.
• Leaves signs and pricing accurate; performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
