The Texas Democratic Party is seeking GOTV Organizers in Texas to join our coordinated campaign during the 2026 cycle. You will build and lead volunteer networks, organize voter contact events, and help turn out voters in key districts across the state.

The role is full-time, intensive, and requires working long hours during peak GOTV periods. Competitive pay, generous benefits including health, vision, and dental, and union representation are offered.

Responsabilidades

• Organize voter contact events: Plan and lead 2+ voter contact events each week, including canvasses, phone banks, etc.
• Recruit and develop volunteer teams: Recruit new volunteers, collaborate with existing supporters, and support teams in hitting voter contact goals.
• Develop volunteer leadership: Identify prospects, develop them into leaders, and support them in developing their own teams.
• Represent the campaign in turf: Serve as a primary voice of the campaign to activists, supporters, volunteers, and voters, to maintain strong local presence.
• Manage voter contact systems and ensure activities are created and uploaded in Mobilize, reflected in VAN, and easy for volunteers to find and join.
• Maintain data integrity: Ensure timely and accurate data entry across voter contact events.
• Build GOTV infrastructure: Identify, secure, and confirm staging locations for GOTV.
• Execute during GOTV: Ensure successful operation of staging locations and volunteer teams during GOTV.
• Report results: Provide regular, accurate reporting on voter contact, volunteer recruitment, staging-location readiness, and program performance.
• Learn: Develop your own skills and grow into a stronger organizer.

About the Role

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking GOTV Organizers to join our Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign, supporting Talarico for Texas and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. GOTV Organizers will be on the front lines of our large-scale effort to mobilize voters across Texas during the most critical period of the campaign. Organizers will build and lead the volunteer and voter contact infrastructure which will translate this high energy election into a high turnout election. They will gain hands‑on experience with the systems and organizing practices used on competitive federal campaigns while contributing to the lasting infrastructure necessary to flip this state blue and keep it that way.

This position will begin the week of August 24 and end November 15, 2026.

Compensation

Pay

GOTV Organizers are compensated at $5,000 per month initially, with pay increasing with increased hours later in the campaign.

They are eligible for generous benefits including health care, vision, and dental insurance and stipends for cell phone and eligible transit.

Union

The Texas Democratic Party staff are proudly unionized. This position is represented by IBEW Local 220. GOTV Organizers are eligible for union membership in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Execute during GOTV: Take responsibility for the successful operation of assigned staging locations and volunteer teams during GOTV, troubleshooting quickly and ensuring voter contact programs remain on track.


• Report results: Provide regular, accurate reporting on voter contact, volunteer recruitment, staging-location readiness, and program performance, with increased reporting frequency during GOTV.


• Learn: Develop your own skills, cross-polinate ideas, and grow into a stronger organizer than you were before you started.

Time Commitment

This position will begin the week of August 24 and end November 15, 2026.

GOTV Organizers work full time and are non-exempt, meaning they are eligible for overtime pay (this overtime is already calculated into monthly pay rates based on weekly hours caps).

This is an intensive, time-limited role at a pivotal moment for Texas Democrats. Organizers should expect long days and a 6 day workweek beginning in August as the campaign scales toward Election Day. We anticipate working between 55 and 66 hours per week and will end the campaign on 7 day work weeks.
