Job summary

Objectways Technologies Llc is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage a secure, scalable GCP-based platform for enterprise applications. You will drive IaC, automation, and monitoring to ensure high availability and SLA compliance.

You will collaborate with global teams, implement multi-cloud strategies where appropriate, and optimize cost, security, and reliability across production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• 5+ years with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitLab) in GCP.
• 5+ years building software in cloud environments with GCP.
• Experience designing GCP cloud architectures (multi-cloud, microservices).
• Strong understanding of GCP networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
• GCP security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance).
• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-hosted platform to meet SLAs.
• Work with GCP native services in deployments.
• Use IaC tools for design, deployment, and management of cloud architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional globally distributed teams on troubleshooting and automation.
• Coordinate with Cloud and Engineering teams to build, monitor, and maintain infrastructure via automation.
• Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance of the Boeing Cloud.
• Design, build, and maintain environment-specific alerts and dashboards (Google Cloud Monitoring).
• Monitor site stability and performance, including incident management and post-mortems.
• Maintain documentation for systems and processes.

About the role

This role focuses on building and maintaining a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP to support enterprise applications and meet SLA requirements. It involves using Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, monitoring, and collaboration with global teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud-hosted platform to meet established SLAs while supporting the rollout of new software releases and maintenance updates.
• Work with technology from leading cloud providers like GCP, understanding and utilizing their unique native services in deployments.
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for the design, deployment, and management of secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, and cloud architectures.
• Engage with highly collaborative cross-functional globally distributed teams on troubleshooting issues, providing insights for automation, and influencing architectural decisions.
• Coordinate with Cloud and Engineering team members, and other stakeholders to build, monitor, and maintain a secure cloud-hosted infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments.
• Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance of the Boeing Cloud.
• Design, build, and maintain environment-specific alerts and dashboards via analytics tools such as Google Cloud Monitoring.
• Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues, including incident management and post-mortem analysis.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Required to be a US citizen.
• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and orchestration/automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab, specifically in GCP environments.
• 5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience in designing cloud architectures on GCP, including multi-cloud strategies and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of GCP networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
• Knowledge of GCP security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in GCP monitoring and logging tools, such as Google Cloud Operations Suite and Google Security Command Center, for monitoring system performance, security and health.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go for automating tasks within GCP

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions specific to GCP environments.
