Job summary

Global Sumi Technologies Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer with ETL and Google Cloud Platform expertise for onsite roles in Atlanta, GA or Austin, TX.

The contract resource will focus on real-time streaming through Kafka and Pub/Sub, building and operating data pipelines on GCP, and managing deployments with CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and production support to ensure reliable data processing in production

Qualifications

• Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Google Cloud Pub/Sub for real-time event ingestion and stream processing.
• Google Cloud Platform ecosystem: Experience building and operating event-driven data pipelines and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Application development and deployment: Experience deploying, configuring, and managing applications across environments, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and production release management.

Responsibilities

• Ability to diagnose streaming pipeline issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of production workloads.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and monitoring of streaming applications.

Title: Data Engineer(ETL, Google Cloud Platform)

Location: Atlanta GA or Austin, TX

We have a Contracting resource requirement and would appreciate your help in identifying a suitable onsite engineer based in either Atlanta or Austin.

We are looking for a resource with strong hands-on experience in the following areas:

• Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Google Cloud Pub/Sub for real-time event ingestion and stream processing.
• Google Cloud Platform ecosystem: Experience building and operating event-driven data pipelines and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Application development and deployment: Experience deploying, configuring, and managing applications across environments, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and production release management.
• Distributed systems: Understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging patterns, scalability, fault tolerance, and monitoring of streaming applications.
• Production support and troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose streaming pipeline issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of production workloads.
