Job summary

Tough Mudder is seeking a Full-Time Software Developer to manage and improve in-house software utilized in event production. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of React, Bootstrap, and 3rd party API integrations. This role requires a proactive individual capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment while collaborating across teams. A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred, along with 2+ years of experience in software development.

Manage the development, improvement, and maintenance of all in-house software used in support of the production of events. At the core, this includes many sophisticated workbooks and webapps all interconnected that help manage travel, employee utilization, compensation, project management, budgeting, forecasting, and supply chain.

Under the guidance and support of the VP of Production, use existing or new software platforms to develop solutions for workflow, analytics, or data management problems. As the developer, work with end-users and stakeholders while leading system testing and validation, documentation, and reporting on status. An example project would be to develop a platform which automates the collection and analysis of specific data spread across various data sources.

Lead the RFP process and development of an application(s) that would replace the current system.

Optimize organization, access, and permissions of US Event Production Google Drive folders.

Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.

Support Production leadership and FP&A business partners by managing the worksheets and webapps that are the backbone of the ongoing budgeting and forecasting, and help with data management within these. Additionally, partner with line leads to search the system for assumption mistakes or modeling errors. An example would include analyzing why there are notable unfavorable travel cost trends against budget and make sure the coding and formulas are accurate.

Qualifications

2 + years’ experience working on a variety of software development projects preferred

Solid understanding of React and Bootstrap

Experience with 3rd party API integration

Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment where you are the subject matter expert

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with minimal direction and oversight

Comfortable working with various teams in different capabilities to create useable outputs

Comfortable debugging entire systems down to specific lines of code

Thrive in an environment where process and SOP’s create success

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree preferred

Experience as a full-stack developer

Basic understanding of budgeting and FP&A
