Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking a Centre Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children, including those with dietary restrictions. You’ll ensure safe and hygienic food preparation and storage, while coordinating with staff to meet individual dietary needs.

The role emphasizes high standards of safety, nutrition and teamwork within a childcare environment. Prior cookery experience and child-care checks are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Working with Children’s Check required.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Working with Children’s Check – Blue card Paid, with Exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
• Ideally holding a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
• Having experience providing meals for children with allergies, cultural and special dietary requirements
• Strong communication skills, reliable and punctual, Demonstrating great time management skills to work in a fast paced environment
