Qualifications

• Must cover staffing at any location within the region.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with PC, software and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt, and courteous service to members and prospective members.
• Process transactions in person, via video conference, drive-thru, and telephonic channels.
• Maintain control of cash and negotiable instruments per policies and laws.
• Engage members through consultative needs-based conversations to uncover financial needs and recommend products.
• Support RBFCU sales culture and branch standards.
• Perform as Branch Reservist handling Member Service Center calls.
• Assess deposits for fraud and impersonation risks to mitigate losses.
• Assist members with openings, updates, and closings; understand RBFCU Membership and Account Agreement.
• Prepare teller reports; escort members to designated areas when requested.
• Observe safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• All other duties as assigned.

The RBFCU Branch Operations Team is seeking a full time Branch Member Service Representative in the Gonzales branch location starting at $20.00/hour! Bilingual in Spanish and English? Employees can earn an additional $2.00 per hour upon the successful completion of the RBFCU Bilingual Spanish/English certification. The Gonzales branch is located at: 1712 E. Sarah DeWitt Drive, Gonzales, TX 78629 As a Branch Member Service Representative (MSR) you will be the face of RBFCU, providing exceptional service to our members and prospective members in a role that combines both Teller and Personal Banker functions. You’ll engage with our members and prospective members to build relationships, utilize your problem-solving skills to identify needs, and educate them on products and services that will improve their financial well-being and quality of life. You’ll review deposit products for fraud and risk, while assessing each interaction for potential impersonation to mitigate fraud losses for the organization. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide enthusiastic, professional, quality, prompt, and courteous service to members, prospective members, and RBFCU team.


• Process a variety of transactions in various settings that may include in person, video conference, drive-thru, and telephonic engagement channels.


• Maintain control of cash and negotiable instruments in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.


• Engage members and prospective members through consultative, needs-based conversations by actively listening, asking open ended questions, and demonstrating empathy to uncover financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services, while consistently meeting or exceeding minimum sales goals.


• Support RBFCU sales culture, and ensure branch standards are achieved by reinforcing best practices, modeling consultative behaviors, and holding a high level of self-accountability to performance expectations.


• Perform in the capacity of Branch Reservist taking calls for the Member Service Center to handle incoming requests from members via this channel.


• Assess all deposits for potential fraud and each interaction for impersonation to mitigate fraud losses.


• Assist members and prospective members with needs that incorporate other internal departments, such as Consumer Lending, Mortgage and Credit Union Service Organizations, and comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.


• Qualify members, and assist with opening, updating, and closing accounts, and maintain a current working knowledge of the RBFCU Membership and Account Agreement.


• Prepare various teller reports, and escort members into designated areas when requested.


• Observe safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Must be able to cover staffing at any location within the respective region if a business need arises including branch transfers


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to solve problems, make timely and informed decisions, and apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions


• Proficient in utilizing PC, software and other office equipment


• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time


• Good vision (correctable), hearing, and manual dexterity; must be able to reach with hands and arms; must be able to speak clearly


• Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
