Job summary

Senior Resource Association in Florida is seeking part-time CDL drivers to operate fixed-route buses for Indian River County's public transit system. This role focuses on dependable, on-time service and safety.

You will work Saturdays on a consistent schedule, assist riders including those with mobility devices, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections while adhering to DOT regulations. We value teamwork, reliability, and community service.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida CDL (Class B) with Passenger Endorsement.
• At least 5 years of driving history.
• Clean DMV driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must complete Level 2 background screening.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate a fixed-route bus safely and on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
• Assist riders with boarding, including those with mobility devices.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.

What You Need to Qualify:

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Indian River County roadways.
• Experience driving passenger vehicles or buses.
• Knowledge of transit regulations (FTA, ADA, DOT).
