Job summary

Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA is seeking an Outside Service Shift Supervisor to lead the outside services team Thursday–Monday from 12pm to closing. The role focuses on delivering exceptional hospitality, supervising staff, and maintaining a polished club environment for members and guests.

You will train and schedule attendants, ensure safety, coordinate with golf staff, and uphold the club’s standards of professionalism and service excellence in all weather and shift conditions.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience in customer service, hospitality, or supervisory roles.
• Motivated, dependable, and able to lead a team effectively.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the outside service team to ensure excellence in member service and operational efficiency.
• Foster a professional, friendly, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff.
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times, including proper uniform attire and name badge.
• Oversee the setup of bag drops, staging areas, and practice facilities, ensuring readiness and adherence to established standards.
• Ensure the ANCC Golf facilities are consistently maintained and kept in immaculate condition.
• Coordinate daily work schedules and assignments with the Starter to optimize staff allocation and task completion.
• Monitor radio communications to maintain coordination between the Golf Shop, Starter, and outside service staff.
• Conduct regular training and performance feedback to develop team members’ skills and service standards.
• Promote all Club activities and services to members and guests, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact.
• Assist in the golf shop and provide support for other golf operations as needed.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure all staff operate in a safe manner, minimizing risk of injury or property damage.
