Job summary

The Bridges Golf Course LLC in Gunter, TX is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to support daily golf operations, run tournaments, and supervise staff. High School education is required. The role may require evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club activities and member events.

The Bridges Golf Club winds throughout The Bridges at Preston Crossings. Our Gunter golf course is a magnificent 18-hole golf course. We’re a proud part of the Dallas golf community.

Our idyllic Dallas metroplex golf setting will let you step away from life for a little while and focus on your golf passion. Our professionally engineered course will challenge you to decrease your score on our fairways, numerous water hazards, and tactically placed sand traps. Most people who play our course like it so much, they book their next tee time after their round of golf.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all members and their guests.
• Assist in managing the daily golf operation, tournaments, and outings.
• Supervise and train golf personnel.
• Assist in displaying, promotion and sales/billing of merchandise & inventories.
• Promote all club activities and assist in executing sales and promotional plans.
• Assist in management of the club handicap system and execution of Club Tournaments.
• Assist with all club and outside events.
• Excellent writing, public speaking, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with a customer service focused attitude.
• High level of ethics, integrity, honesty, and reliability.
• Proficiency with computers including point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office, and tournament applications.
• Capability to provide golf instruction to beginners with an emphasis on junior golf and PGA Jr Golf League.
• Actively pursue PGA membership and/or maintain an active classification in the PGA of America.
• Ability to work a diverse schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
