Job summary

Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a dynamic Player’s Assistant (Starter/Ranger) to manage play flow across 36 holes and uphold service standards for all guests. You will help with tournament execution, maintain pace, and create a welcoming atmosphere on the course.

The role requires 18+ years old, familiarity with golf etiquette, and the ability to work outdoors in Arizona conditions, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of golf, rules, etiquette, and course flow.
• Prior starter/ranger or golf operations experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on guest service.
• Ability to work outdoors in Arizona weather for extended periods.
• Weekend, holiday, and tournament availability required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the tee and start times promptly.
• Review course rules, pace of play, and tournament formats with groups.
• Verify tee times and check-in in the golf shop.
• Coordinate starting times to maintain flow of play.
• Communicate with golf shop and service staff for tee sheet accuracy.
