Job summary

Cherry Hills Country Club in Englewood, Colorado, seeks an experienced Assistant Golf Professional to join a high-performing golf operations team. Reporting to the Director of Golf, you will drive member service, tournament administration, retail and instruction programs, and staff development across a premier private club.

The ideal candidate brings 3–4 years of relevant experience, PGA membership in good standing, and a passion for growing participation in golf while upholding the club's

Qualifications

• Three to four years of experience as an Assistant Golf Professional at a private golf club or comparable facility.
• Current PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
• Strong knowledge of the game of golf, the Rules of Golf, golf facility operations, and tournament administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to work effectively with golf operations technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, personalized, and professional service to members and guests throughout the golf operation.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence in the golf shop, practice facilities, and on the golf course.
• Anticipate member needs and proactively communicate relevant information regarding daily play, course conditions, practice facilities, events, and golf programs.
• Build strong relationships with members and guests through consistent engagement and thoughtful communication.
• Take ownership of service concerns, resolve issues promptly, and involve the appropriate leadership when necessary.
• Uphold the Club's service standards and contribute to a consistently exceptional member experience.
• Assist the Director of Golf and golf operations leadership with daily play, tee sheet management, pace of play, and practice facilities.
• Support planning, administration, and execution of Club tournaments, leagues, member events, and special golf activities.
• Maintain understanding of the Rules of Golf and apply them in tournament administration and daily operations.
• Help develop and implement programs and operating procedures that promote participation, efficiency, consistency, and service excellence.
• Coordinate with Director of Grounds regarding course conditions and maintenance.
• Maintain relationships with other Club departments to support a seamless member experience.
• Lead by example with professionalism and integrity, and mentor AITs and team members.
• Collaborate with leadership to uphold service standards across departments.
