Job summary

Falls Village Golf Club in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time, hourly Golf Operations Attendant to join our team. The position offers a pay range of $7.25–$9.50 per hour, plus tips, with shifts Mon-Thu 2:00pm–8:00pm and Fri-Sun 6:00am–2:00pm.

You will assist guests and members with outside services, help maintain the clubhouse and carts, support tournament events, and ensure courteous service throughout the day.

Qualifications

• No formal degree required or minimal related experience.
• Friendly, customer-facing demeanor and willingness to assist guests.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests and members with outside services to create a positive experience.
• Maintains the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot in a neat condition.
• Assists in setting up and executing golf tournaments and outings.
• Provides courteous service, handles bags, and assists with club cleaning.
• Maintains cart staging areas, podium, and bag drop in orderly condition.
• Prepares golf carts for play following standard procedures.
• Educates players on course policies, cart policies, and pace of play.
• Assists players by changing spikes when needed.
• Performs range maintenance and stocks practice balls and inventory.
• May direct start of play and records golfer rental info.
• Cleans rental clubs and assists with food and beverage activities.
• Regular attendance and safe work practices.

Pay Range: $7.25 - $9.50 per hour, plus tips

Shift Availability:

• Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm
• Friday - Sunday: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Job Description:

Creates a positive experience by assisting guests and members with outside services.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area and parking lot.
• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
• Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
• Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of Brown Golf Management.
• Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
• Assists players by changing their golf spikes, if needed.
• Performs range maintenance such as: presenting practice facility with practice balls, bag stands and maintains ball inventory over the course of the day.
• May direct start of play.
• Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
• Services the customer who is renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return.
• Assists with food and beverage activities.
• Cleans golfers clubs upon completion of play.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Degree/Licenses:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
