Job summary

Mizner Country Club in Delray Beach, Florida, invites a Golf Course Superintendent to lead our agronomy team and steward the club’s premier playing surfaces. You will oversee maintenance, irrigation, and staff, aligning with the Director of Agronomy and General Manager to uphold our standards of exceptional play.

We seek a candidate with 5+ years in golf course management, a turf degree, and a Florida pesticide license (or willingness to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Turf Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years with proven agronomic experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• FL Pesticide Applicators License or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment.
• Valid FL Driver's License.
• Knowledge of Tif Eagle & Celebration Bermudagrass.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the agronomy team to maintain the golf course to premier standards.
• Supervise staff and delegate maintenance tasks and responsibilities.
• Manage Pump Station and Toro Irrigation System operation and maintenance.
• Contribute to annual Agronomic Plan and crew training.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper recordkeeping.
• Communicate effectively with Director of Agronomy, GM, and Director of Golf.
• Engage members and support service excellence.
• Collaborate on IPM programs to promote exceptional play conditions.

Position Summary -

The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for assisting the Director of Agronomy in managing, directing, and leading the team in maintaining the Club's golf course.

Responsibilities -

• Leadership skills fostering a culture of attention to detail, quality, and success
• Staff supervision and delegation of maintenance tasks and responsibilities
• Active in management of Pump Station and Toro Irrigation System
• Assist in development of annual Agronomic Plan and crew training
• Maintain proper safety compliance and recordkeeping
