Job summary

Potomac Shores Golf Club in Dumfries, VA seeks a Golf Course Superintendent to oversee course maintenance and budgeting. You will direct greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers, while supervising staff and ensuring equipment and safety standards are met.

The role requires coordinating with vendors, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Minimum qualifications include an AA degree and 2–5 years' experience, plus a pesticide license and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• AA degree (or two-year equivalent) in agronomy, horticulture, plant/soil science.
• 2–5 years related experience or training; degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and pesticide license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains annual maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Directs maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervises planting and cultural practices for turf, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and supplies within budget.
• Keeps records of maintenance activities and costs; prepares reports.
• Implements purchasing procedures and coordinates vendor relations.
• Coordinates snow removal and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides training and ensures safety and environmental compliance.
