Genesis Turfgrass LLC. seeks an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and agronomy team at Occano, Merry Hill, North Carolina. The role oversees turf, irrigation, landscaping, and equipment, ensuring top playability and environmental stewardship.

You will manage staff, budgets, and schedules, while coordinating with golf operations to meet event timelines and member expectations. A strong background in warm-season grasses and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate in Agronomy, Turf Management, Horticulture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent at a high-quality facility.
• Current North Carolina pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Deep knowledge of warm-season turfgrasses, especially Bermuda.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Hands-on, team-oriented work ethic with a passion for excellence.
• Proficient in irrigation management systems and turfgrass equipment.
• Drug Screen and background check required.
• Our company uses E-Verify. Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsabilités

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff.

Position Overview

The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course and related grounds, including turfgrass, irrigation systems, landscaping, and equipment. This leadership role requires a knowledgeable, proactive professional who will ensure the course is maintained to the highest standards of playability, aesthetics, and environmental stewardship.
