Job summary

Jdm-Golf-LLC is seeking a skilled golf-course maintenance technician focused on pest and fertilizer applications to protect turf and optimize playability. You will operate truck-mounted sprayers, calibrate equipment, and maintain records while adhering to safety regulations.

The role requires knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers, and Integrated Pest Management, with ability to work independently on a golf course environment and communicate with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of fertilizers and pesticides and their application techniques.
• Ability to recognize healthy and unhealthy turf.
• Knowledge of spray equipment and its safe operation.
• Ability to perform calibrations mathematically.
• Experience with Integrated Pest Management programs.
• Knowledge of reading MSDS and staying compliant.
• Ability to lead and coordinate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Identify and treat unwanted vegetation by spraying prescribed amounts of fertilizer, insecticide, herbicide and fungicide.
• Fill sprayer tank with chemicals and water according to formula.
• Pull spray hose from truck mounted reel and spray per site characteristics.
• Assist Superintendent with calibrations of all spray equipment.
• Assist in establishing Integrated Pest Management programs.
• Maintain daily spray records and chemical inventory.
• Post notifications to customers, golfers and employees about spray applications.
• Ensure safety of all helpers and maintain equipment.
