Job summary

Heatherwood is seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual to join our Golf Course Maintenance team at Pine Hills Golf Course in Manorville, NY. The role emphasizes a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and with others.

Candidates will perform daily course maintenance, operate equipment, and adhere to safety standards. Training is available for the right candidate eager to learn all aspects of golf course maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays or overtime as needed.
• Willingness to learn how to safely operate small machinery, tractors, and other maintenance equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn interdepartmental safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily course setup, including tees, trash pickup, cups/flags, divots, and ball marks.
• Perform daily golf course maintenance: greens cups, weed-whack tees, hand-rake bunkers.
• Operate turf/grounds equipment: fairways, roughs, sidewinder, push mowers.
• Safely operate golf carts, utility carts, and vehicles (manual transmissions).
• Follow OSHA safety standards and department procedures.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties related to golf course maintenance as assigned.
