Job summary

Pinehurst Resort is seeking a Greenkeeper Apprentice to support day-to-day golf course operations. The role emphasizes learning through the USGA GAP and practical fieldwork to keep playing surfaces in top condition.

You will participate in mowing, hand watering, raking, and divot repair while developing skills under golf course maintenance guidelines. This is a hands-on apprenticeship with on-site duties at Pinehurst.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Must be enrolled in USGA GAP.
• Minimum one month of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Support GAP activities including classroom attendance and field trips.
• Set up tee markers and hole locations; maintain course amenities.
• Mow and groom to preserve playability and appearance.
• Hand water turf by moving hoses; monitor wilt conditions.
• Hand labor including raking, shoveling, divot repair.
