Job summary

Five Iron Golf in Cincinnati is seeking a Golf Coach to develop members and guests through personalized instruction and engaging group sessions. You’ll balance high-quality coaching with fun, tech-enabled experiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams to grow lessons, fittings, and memberships.

The role offers path-to-full-time instruction through our Coach Development Program, with benefits and ongoing education. Strong communication and TrackMan experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years golf industry experience or graduation from a PGM program.
• One-on-one and group coaching experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight laws, and launch monitor data.
• Proficient with video analysis and golf technology tools.
• Excellent communication skills – connect with golfers of all levels.
• Energetic and engaging personality for fun, group-based learning.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• PGA or LPGA affiliation and/or PGM graduation are strong pluses.
• Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class golf instruction through individual and group lessons for players of all skill levels.
• Utilize TrackMan and Five Iron technologies to provide data-driven, personalized coaching and custom club fittings with Callaway Tour Fitting.
• Actively engage guests during Golf Experience Engagement Time – promoting lessons, swing evaluations, fittings, and memberships.
• Build and retain a loyal client base by creating welcoming, performance-driven experiences.
• Represent Five Iron Golf at corporate events, delivering fun, high-energy instructional sessions.
• Maintain a consistent lesson schedule that meets productivity goals and performance expectations.
• Leverage social media to promote coaching services and the Five Iron brand.
• Conduct junior clinics and support community outreach programs to grow the game.
• Follow up with students to convert swing evaluations into ongoing lessons and KPIs.
• Serve as an on-floor Performance Expert, engaging with members to elevate their overall golf experience.
• Participate in ongoing education and certification programs to sharpen coaching skills.

The Role

We're looking for a Golf Coach who is passionate about helping others improve their game while delivering an exceptional experience. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Performance and plays a key role in developing lasting relationships with our members and guests.

As a Five Iron Coach, you'll balance high‑quality instruction with engagement time, working closely with our Social and Performance Teams to introduce golfers to lessons, fittings, and memberships. As you grow your client base and achieve performance goals, you'll transition into a full‑time instruction role, supported by our Coach Development Program.

Pay

Job Types: Full‑time non‑exempt
Estimated total annual compensation ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, depending on performance. Includes a competitive base salary plus strong incentive‑based compensation opportunities.
