RYDE Marketplace, based in Greenville, SC, is seeking a modern Golf Cart Technician to join our growing team. You will work on lead-acid, lithium, and gas-powered carts, performing maintenance, refurbishments, and diagnostics to support fleets and retail services.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on mechanical and electrical skills with a proactive, research-driven approach using manuals, diagnostics, and AI tools to verify solutions. A valid driver's license is required.
RYDE Marketplace is building a modern, one-stop destination for golf cart sales, lithium upgrades, service, parts, accessories, and fleet management across the Southeast.
Headquartered in Greenville, South Carolina, RYDE Marketplace is growing and preparing to move into a new, larger location designed to support our expanding sales, service, refurbishment, and fleet operations.
We sell and service professionally reconditioned golf carts from the three major brands: EZGO, Club Car, and Yamaha. Our business includes retail sales, lithium conversions, repairs, customization, parts, accessories, and commercial fleet management.
We also manage and service golf cart fleets for several local businesses, providing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and ongoing support.
Our goal is bigger than operating a traditional golf cart dealership. We're building a more modern, technology-driven model for how golf carts are sold, serviced, maintained, and supported.
We're still small enough that a great idea can come from anyone - and actually become something. We want people who ask questions, share ideas, find better ways to do things, and want to grow with the company.
Our philosophy is simple: take care of our people, give them the tools and opportunity to succeed, and they'll take great care of our customers.
We're hiring a full-time or part-time Golf Cart Technician to join our growing Greenville team.
We're looking for more than someone who can turn a wrench.
We want a forward-thinking, technically curious problem solver who is excited about new technology and wants to help us challenge the traditional golf cart service model.
You'll work across lead-acid electric, lithium electric, and gas-powered golf carts, including everything from routine maintenance and complete refurbishments to difficult electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
When you encounter something you've seen before, we don't expect you to know the answer immediately.
We expect you to know how to figure it out.
Research it. Understand it. Test it. Verify it. Fix it.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with guaranteed year-round hours - this is not seasonal employment.
Our ideal schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, but we're flexible on weekday hours for the right candidate.
The golf cart business has busy and slower seasons, but we believe great technicians deserve consistency. If we commit to a schedule with you, you can count on those hours throughout the year.
Being a great technician today isn't just about what you already know. It's about how effectively you can find the answer when you don't know.
You should be comfortable using traditional resources like service manuals, wiring diagrams, manufacturer documentation, and diagnostic equipment - while also taking advantage of online forums, technical communities, social media, and AI tools to research unfamiliar problems.
You also understand that something you find online or through AI isn't automatically correct. You'll use measurements, testing, technical documentation, and mechanical judgment to verify your diagnosis.
We don't want to throw parts at a problem until it disappears.
We want to understand why something failed, diagnose it correctly, repair it correctly, and use what we learn to become better the next time.
Golf cart-specific experience is valuable, but it isn't required. A strong automotive, powersports, EV, small-engine, or equipment technician with the right mechanical and electrical abilities can be a great fit.
This position is for someone who gets satisfaction from figuring out the problem everyone else couldn't.
Someone who asks questions.
Someone who sees a better way of doing something and speaks up.
Someone who isn't intimidated by a system or problem they haven't encountered before.
Someone who embraces new technology instead of avoiding it.
And someone who wants to help build something rather than simply work in it.
As RYDE grows, we want the people who help build the company today to have opportunities to grow with it.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to meet you.
