Job summary

City of Mesquite, Texas, is seeking a part-time Golf Cart Attendant to support daily cart operations, including washing, drying, and parking golf carts, and ensuring clean, ready carts for players.

You will interact with guests, assist with loading bags, and work outdoors in all weather. Applicants must be 16+ with a valid driver’s license, and you must be able to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Shift times vary 6:00 am – 9:00 pm, 10–20 hours per week, with a flexible part-time schedule.

Qualifications

Job description

Salary: $13.00/hr

Responsible for the daily operation of golf cart usage which includes washing, drying and parking of golf carts throughout the shift.

SUPERVISION

• General supervision is provided by the Manager of Golf.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
2. Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures.
3. Washing, drying and parking golf carts daily throughout the shift.
4. Interaction with golf course guests.
5. Assisting guest with loading/unloading of golf bags.
6. Working outside in all weather and temperature conditions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of

• Operating golf carts.
• Basic golf etiquette.
• Safe work practices.

Skill in

• Performing entry level golf cart operation activities.

Ability to

• Load/unload heavy golf bags.
• Work in an outdoor environment.
• Operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to golf cart, hand tools, and vacuum cleaner.

• Pass a drug test, criminal history background check, social security verification number check, driver's license check, and employment verification check.
• Meet the City's driving standards.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older on or before hire date.

EDUCATION

• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
