City of Meridian is seeking a Golf Cart Assistant for a seasonal position (up to 8 months) to provide friendly customer service in the Golf Shop and Cart Barn. Wage ranges from $14.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include cart cleaning, range ball pickup, helping patrons, and assisting across the shop, cart barn, and course in various weather. Working hours weekdays, weekends, on-call, and some holidays; must be able to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs; Idaho

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the game of golf and golf products.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Valid Idaho driver’s license preferred and safe driving record.

• Clean and ready golf carts; pick up balls on the driving range.

This is seasonal position, up to 8 months in duration. Working hours include weekdays, weekends, on-call hours and some holidays. Hours may also include early mornings and late evenings.Works in the Golf Shop and Cart Barn;Engage with the public and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner;Cordially provide information and directions to golf course patrons and general public;Cleans golf carts and readies carts as needed;Picks up balls on the driving range;Complete tasks in a timely manner;Assist with a variety of tasks in the Cart Barn, Golf Shop, and golf course;Work environment will include but not limited to working inside Golf Shop, Cart Barn and throughout the golf course outside, in adverse weather conditions;Constantly requires standing for long periods of time;Ability to lift to 15lbs with occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.Job Specifications:Knowledge of the game of golf and golf products;Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations;Ability to exercise independent judgement; perform basic math calculations;Communicate effectively;Display an attitude of cooperation with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations;Ensure consistent and timely attendance, adhering to the established work schedule.Licensing:Possession of valid State of Idaho driver's license and safe driving record preferred.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!City of Meridian is an equal opportunity employer.
