Job summary

PopStroke in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Guest Services team member to welcome guests, explain the venue, and assist guests with play and the PopStroke app. You will handle beverage service, retail transactions, and keep the golf shop organized in both indoor and outdoor environments.

The role is non-exempt and requires weekend and holiday availability. Prior guest service or POS experience is preferred, and strong communication and teamwork are essential to deliver a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service, retail, or hospitality experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Prior POS system experience preferred.
• Must have excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Must have strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome our guests on arrival and acquaint them with property.
• Explain venue, check guests in, equip guests with tools to play, and answer questions.
• Serve beverages and assist guests with retail purchases.
• Maintain the golf shop fully stocked.
• Remove trash, maintain organization of the golf shop and the golf courses.
• Ensure cleanliness of all golf courses and golf shop areas, including restrooms.
• Answer calls and inquiries regarding venue, pricing, membership and golf information.
• Handle cash and card transactions, balance drawers, and use POS securely.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a memorable guest experience.
• Assist guests with play, course rules, and the PopStroke app.
• Work indoors and outdoors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay rate: Hourly + tips

Essential Job Duties

• Welcome our guests on arrival and acquaint them with property.
• Explain venue, check guests in, equip guests with tools to play, and answer questions.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine and ice cream at the golf counter. Assist guests with retail purchases.
• Maintain the golf shop fully stocked.
• Remove trash, maintain organization of the golf shop and the golf courses.
• Ensure cleanliness of all golf courses, and golf shop areas, including restrooms. Restock golf shop stations and restrooms.
• Answer phone calls and inquiries regarding the venue, pricing, membership and other golf-related information in a professional and courteous manner.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, balancing cash drawers, accurately using POS system, and maintaining security protocols.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a memorable experience for all guests.
• Assist guests with play, course rules and PopStroke app.
• Work in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.
