Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Haul Truck Operator for the Carlin Open Pit Hauling department. You will safely operate haul trucks and contribute to daily reporting while rotating between night and day shifts.

Entry level position with no mining experience required; candidates should have basic reading/writing, math, and communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Entry level; mining or haul truck experience not required.
• Must read, write and have basic math/science for daily reports.
• Reliable, consistent work history.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and haul truck functions preferred.
• Ability to communicate with Mine Operations personnel required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision required.
• Satisfactory safety, performance and attendance record required.
• Experience operating 300-ton haul trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively operate haul trucks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

Qualifications

• Entry level, no experience required in mining or operating equipment.
• Able to read, write, and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements.
• Reliable, consistent work history
• A basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and functions of haul trucks preferred
• Ability to communicate with all Mine Operations personnel required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision required
• Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance record required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
• Experience operating 300-ton haul-trucks preferred
