Job summary

Falcon Smart IT (FalconSmartIT) is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and build scalable backend systems in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will work on a modern stack including Go, Kafka, and REST APIs for high-volume clients, with Docker and Kubernetes in production.

Collaboration with SRE, QA, and product teams is essential to ensure reliability and performance. The role emphasizes hands-on design, development, testing, and ongoing production support, with a strong focus

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a modern development stack with Go, Kafka, and REST APIs.
• Experience designing software, testing, and delivering in an Agile environment.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Cassandra).
• Proven ability to design and develop REST APIs for high-volume clients.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated test/build frameworks.
• Aptitude for learning new technologies and turning ideas into working software.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design system solutions and develop custom applications to meet changing business needs.

• Handle coding, debugging, and documentation while coordinating with the SRE team.

Responsibilities & Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in a modern development stack Golang, Kafka, REST API.
• Experience in application design, software development, and testing in an Agile environment.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs for high volume clients.
• Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI). Experience with automated build and test frameworks is a plus.
• A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software.
• Experience with container and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Strong ability to develop unique, outside the box ideas.
