Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Go Software Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team in Phoenix. You will develop scalable microservices powering loyalty and benefits platforms, with hands-on Go, REST APIs, and event-driven services.

You will implement high-volume, high-availability systems, contribute to platform modernization, and work with Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience with Golang.
• Hands-on experience building high-volume REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience developing event-driven microservices and working with gRPC.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployment.
• Experience with CI tools and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Go-based APIs and microservices for REST and gRPC interfaces.
• Build highly available, high-performance services handling high-volume ingestion.
• Enhance core platform components for scalability, resiliency, and observability.
• Implement monitoring using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Integrate with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Develop and support containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and automated testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and document technical details.
• Provide production support to ensure platform stability.
