YO IT Consulting is seeking a Go/Golang Developer for a part-time remote contract to join a customer’s team. You will build REST and GraphQL endpoints in a modern Go stack, ensure data validation and robust error handling, and help evaluate alpha AI coding tools in confidential testing phases.

Proven expertise in Go and backend development, plus familiarity with Cursor and AI-powered coding tools, will enable you to contribute to rapid prototyping and thorough reporting while maintaining

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Go developer.
• Strong command of Go, REST APIs, GraphQL, and backend development best practices.
• Experience with AI-powered coding tools and Cursor is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of documenting findings while protecting confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop REST and GraphQL endpoints within a modern Go stack.
• Conduct rigorous data validation and comprehensive error handling.
• Execute database migrations and performance optimization.
• Test and evaluate alpha AI models in Cursor over multiple 4-day, 5+ hour daily bursts.
• Identify and document incidents, bugs, and edge cases through detailed reports, bug traces, and annotated screenshots.
• Collaborate with the research team via Slack, providing real-time feedback and thoughtful insights.
• Complete structured surveys on overall impressions and model usability after each testing burst.
