Job summary

Verneek, a deep-tech AI startup in the NYC area, seeks a Go backend engineer to design and maintain scalable services powering our AI platform. You will work on complex backend problems grounded in our proprietary AI stack, in a fast-paced startup environment.

You’ll contribute to microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployments using Docker/Kubernetes and AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship robust backend systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Agile environment with rapid iteration cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and integration strategies.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing backend systems for performance and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a strong emphasis on testing.
• Ensure system security, data protection, and compliance standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
