Job summary

Comcast is seeking a backend engineer to join the Camera Platform team in Philadelphia. You will design and build scalable Go services on AWS, integrating with external cloud platforms, and own components end-to-end in a fast‑moving environment.

You''ll contribute to event-driven patterns, handle concurrency, and help migrate from Java/Spring Boot to Go, while supporting production services and on-call readiness. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience.
• Solid backend skills in a statically typed language (Go preferred, Java also acceptable).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native services (Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS).
• Experience operating production services (on-call, monitoring, incident response).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-concurrency backend services in Go on AWS.
• Implement integrations with external cloud platforms via APIs and event-driven models.
• Work with device-platform concepts and onboard/deprovision devices.
• Contribute to performance, reliability, and observability improvements.
