Impact Scale is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Go) to help build and scale our real-time performance management platform. You will own backend services, collaborate with senior engineers, and deliver production-ready solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You enjoy high-performance systems, solving complex problems, and writing clean, testable code. The role requires Go expertise, REST API design, and experience with microservices, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building backend apps in Go.
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with event-driven or microservice architectures and message brokers.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience containerizing apps with Docker.
• Knowledge of concurrency and backend performance optimization.
• Experience collaborating in teams with Git and code reviews.
• Russian or Ukrainian language fluency preferred.

Backend Software Engineer (Go)

Position Overview

Impact Scale is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Go) to help build and scale our next-generation performance management platform. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys developing high-performance backend applications, solving complex technical challenges, and building reliable systems that process large volumes of real-time data.

Join a small engineering team building a real-time high performance management platform. You'll collaborate with senior engineers to deliver new platform capabilities, build backend services and integrations, and continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, writes clean, maintainable code, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Develop new backend features and services using Go
• Build and maintain APIs and integrations with external partners
• Implement new capabilities within an event-driven microservice platform
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver production-ready solutions
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable codeParticipate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years experience developing backend applications in Go
• Experience building REST APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Familiarity with event-driven or microservice architectures and message brokers (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Comfortable developing containerized applications using Docker
• Understanding of concurrency, asynchronous processing, and backend performance optimization
• Experience working in collaborative engineering teams using Git and code reviews
• Fluency in Russian or Ukrainian is strongly preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-throughput or real-time backend systems
• Experience with ClickHouse or other analytical databases
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience in AdTech, lead generation, martech, or fintech
• Exposure to Rust
