Job summary

SpaceX is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer in Hawthorne, California. In this role, you will operate and scale mission-critical products for the Guidance, Navigation, and Control teams, working closely with engineering teams to improve suite performance and reliability. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have experience with Linux, Python, and Docker. This role offers a competitive salary between $125,000 - $175,000 annually, inclusive of benefits like health coverage and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, math, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience or 4+ years in site reliability/DevOps.
• Must be comfortable working with mission‑critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and scale custom-built GNC products and services.
• Provision and maintain servers for the GNC teams.
• Monitor HPC clusters and ensure system performance.
• Collaborate with software engineers on product maintainability.
