Job summary

SpaceX is seeking GNC Engineers (Starfall) to design and implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for an entry capsule used in space logistics and in-space manufacturing. You will work on real production code, not prototypes, and contribute to simulations, data analysis, and documentation.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a relevant engineering field and 1+ years coding in C++ or Python, with preference for aerospace/GNC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
• 1+ years of software development experience in either C++ or Python.
• Experience with GNC or aerospace software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable GNC algorithms, simulations, tools, services, and dashboards in C++ or Python.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Analyze flight data from Starfall simulations and operations.
• Write high-quality documentation of programs and analyses.
• Design and optimize entry trajectories and guidance for reentry and recovery.
• Develop atmospheric entry, descent, and landing algorithms.
