Command Post Technologies, Inc. is seeking a GNC Engineer (Aerospace) to support hypersonic research efforts at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA.

You will develop guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, validate through simulations and flight data analyses, and collaborate with government and contractor SMEs to deliver rigorous analytical insights. The role requires experience with Kalman filtering, sensor fusion, and embedded software in MATLAB/Simulink, Python or C/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 4+ years in GNC, guidance, flight controls or modeling.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Python or C/C++.
• Experience with EKF/UKF, GPS/INS integration, and sensor fusion.
• DoD Secret clearance ability or active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine GNC algorithms for guidance laws and state estimation.
• Support 6 DOF modeling, simulation, and subsystem integration.
• Analyze trajectory performance and controller stability.
• Integrate IMUs, GPS, INS, seekers in navigation solutions.
• Perform Monte Carlo analyses and uncertainty studies.
• Prototype GNC in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++.
• Analyze flight data and HWIL/SIL outputs for validation.
• Collaborate with E20 SMEs and government leads on tools.
• Document models, results, and performance in reports.
