Job summary
South Mountain Rehab Center in Boonsboro, MD seeks a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) Instructor to deliver the curriculum and help students prepare for the Maryland GNA licensing exam. You will supervise clinical labs, evaluate learners, and assist with exam registration.
The ideal candidate is an RN licensed in Maryland with at least two years of nursing experience, including elder care, and has proven ability to teach adults in diverse settings. A sign-on bonus is offered.
Qualifications
- RN license valid in Maryland.
- At least 2 years nursing experience, with ≥1 year in elderly or chronically ill care in the last 5 years.
- Completed at least 16 hours of adult education instruction or has 2 years teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Participate in development and evaluation of the training program.
- Implement the approved training program.
- Supervise classroom laboratory experience.
- Evaluate student performance in the classroom.
- Provide supervision and clinical evaluation of each trainee at the clinical site.
- Work with the Director of Nursing to create a positive learning environment.
