Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Manager for the Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) Subsystem for the Orion Program. The role oversees design, development, test, verification and flight support across critical flight phases of a deep space exploration vehicle.

The position requires building and leading a large GNC team, coordinating with NASA, managing cost and schedule, and ensuring successful program execution through all phases from concept to flight.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership for a large, distributed engineering team.
• Familiarity with GN&C subsystems and systems engineering processes.
• Experience in GN&C design, development, verification and testing.
• Familiarity with CAM and cost/schedule control processes.
• Strong communication with program management and NASA.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large, geographically dispersed GNC team in partnership with NASA on the Orion Program.
• Manage budget, schedule and technical content of all GNC products.
• Recruit, train, performance assess, and assign work to GNC staff.
• Present technical/programmatic topics to Program Management and NASA.
• Oversee all GNC-related program tasks and contribute to Central Engineering initiatives.
