Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace in Huntsville, AL, seeks exceptional GN&C Technical Staff to advance guidance, navigation, and control for space and launch vehicle programs. You will perform simulations, analyses, and designs across disciplines to optimize GN&C integration and achieve mission goals.

Candidates should hold an MS or PhD in a relevant field, have strong communication skills, and be prepared for security screening.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• PhD or MS with 2+ years of relevant experience; academic research may be considered in lieu of industry experience.
• Candidates must pass background check and security screening.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Spacecraft and launch vehicle flight dynamics and control.
• Flight control actuation systems (EMA & hydraulic).
• Space navigation and linear covariance analysis.
• GPS/INS filter design, sensor fusion, visual odometry, hazard avoidance.
• Astrodynamics and space vehicle/air vehicle dynamics.
• Modeling and simulation of multibody and flexible systems.
• Navigation sensors and navigation hardware integration.
• Development of high‑reliability embedded software (MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++).
