Job summary

Medterials, Inc. seeks a QC Analytical Chemist to join our San Carlos, CA site. The role focuses on GMP-compliant analytical testing of drug intermediates, method development, and validation, with involvement in QC and R&D activities. On-site, full-time schedule with potential overtime.

The ideal candidate will have a chemistry degree and GMP experience, strong HPLC/LCMS skills, and the ability to develop reliable analytical methods and write comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with GMP pharma experience or Master's with GMP experience.
• Entry with PhD in Analytical/Physical/Organic/Medicinal Chemistry considered.
• HPLC experience required; LCMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform HPLC and LCMS assays following GMP regulations.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods and refine existing ones.
• Perform routine QC testing and support R&D with analytics and DOE.
• Maintain data integrity per ALCOA; log experiments and write reports.
• Operate lab equipment and ensure compliance with SOPs and waste protocols.
