Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Microbiology Quality Lab Associate I to perform complex routine and non-routine sampling in support of the Microbiology department. You will report to the Microbiology Supervisor and contribute to testing, investigations and data documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, preferably Microbiology, and comfort with GMP-regulated environments and enterprise software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, preferably Microbiology.
• Previous GMP-regulated lab experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing (bioburden, sterility, growth promotion) on finished products and in-process samples.
• Conduct investigational work for out-of-specification samples and identify root causes.
• Document and process samples in a Laboratory environment.
• Enter test data into LIMS and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
