Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Metrology and Validation Specialist at our Rahway, New Jersey facility. You will oversee onboarding, qualification, validation, and ongoing calibration of analytical equipment within a GMP framework, contributing to a culture of quality across the DSCS network.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry or related field and 3+ years in the industry, with strong skills in CGMP, CSV, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry or related field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience with metrology, calibration, qualification, and validation of analytical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with scientific teams to drive compliance and operational excellence.
• Onboard, qualify, and maintain laboratory equipment in GMP and non-GMP environments.
• Participate in laboratory computer system validation activities (21 CFR 11).
• Prepare, review, and approve master inventory, qualification, calibration, and CSV documentation.
• Support internal and external quality audits and maintain inspection readiness.
• Author or contribute to SOPs and manage investigations and change controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver department priorities.
