Job summary

Exploreelginarea in Elgin, IL seeks a Material Handler to safely move raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and production supplies throughout an FDA-regulated facility. The role supports continuous production by keeping lines stocked, verifying materials against schedules, and operating electric pallet jacks and forklifts in a GMP-driven environment.

Pay is $17.00–$20.00/hour on 1st shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM), with an evaluation-to-hire employment type.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of material handling experience.
• Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Knowledge of GMP and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Deliver materials to production lines, replenish supplies, and assist with line support to minimize downtime.
• Verify materials against production schedules, batch records, and work orders with accurate inventory movement records.
• Remove finished products from lines and transport to staging or warehouse locations.
• Follow GMP, SOPs, safety regulations, and housekeeping standards; report quality, inventory, or safety concerns.
