Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level operator to join its Microbiology Division in Frederick, MD. The role focuses on loading agar, managing volumes, quality checks, and safe operation of production equipment in a fully onsite setting.

You will follow SOPs, assist with dhr documentation, and help maintain production schedules while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. This is a contract position with a 6am–2:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 600 lbs., and stand up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery safely and perform basic maintenance.
• Set up and adjust machines for different sizes.
• Obtain materials from warehouse or staging area as needed.
• Organize production flow and monitor line progress per schedule.
• Document work and monitor quality and inventory.
