Job summary

Investigo is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities team in Bedford, MA. The role covers design, operation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC, AHU, humidity control, and BAS/BMS integration across cleanrooms and laboratories.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in GMP environments, experience with ISO 7 cleanrooms, and a track record delivering capital projects and compliant maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of HVAC experience in biotech/pharma GMP environment.
• Experience with cleanrooms ISO 7/Grade C environments.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/BMS and controls integration.
• Familiarity with GMP change controls and validations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, specification, selection, operation and maintenance of HVAC and AHU systems.
• Own humidity-control systems for cleanrooms, labs, and facilities.
• Ensure 24/7 operation and GMP/non-GMP facility support.
• Develop preventive maintenance SOPs and troubleshooting practices.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Calibration, I&C, Validation, and Quality teams.
• Integrate HVAC with BAS/BMS and monitoring systems.
• Lead capital projects through EPCCV stages from planning to validation.
• Support GMP change controls, deviations, and investigations.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability while ensuring compliance.
