Job summary

ABM Industries in Wilson, NC is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role requires following strict procedures to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include cleaning facilities, handling chemical cleaners safely, communicating with team, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Prior GMP cleaning experience is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience cleaning in GMP-regulated environments preferred (pharma/healthcare).
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and fixtures.
• Notify management of repair needs to building systems.
• Maintain communication with clients and team members.
• Comply with safety, security, compliance and quality standards.
• Clean interior areas, dust surfaces, and clean restrooms.
• Move items to access hard-to-reach areas and clean around equipment.
• Clean glass, mirrors, blinds, and windows as needed.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Perform seasonal outdoor tasks as required.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms F23

Qualifications

Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in cleaning within a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred

• Customer service experience
• 1 year of similar work experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
