Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and hygiene within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will ensure areas comply with regulatory requirements and uphold stringent cleanliness protocols to guarantee product safety and quality.

A successful candidate will follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment, notify management of repairs, and support a safe, compliant facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning within a GMP-regulated environment, preferably pharma/healthcare.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow strict cleanliness protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain GMP-compliant facilities and equipment.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Notify management about repairs or additions to building systems.
• Maintain communication with clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Comply with safety, security, and quality standards established by the company and regulators.
• Clean and dust furniture, floors, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Move items to access areas for cleaning.
• Clean interior glass, windows, mirrors, and blinds.
• Empty trash and perform seasonal tasks as needed.
• Wipe and clean surfaces in food areas and restrooms.

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms F23

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in cleaning within a GMP-regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred:

• Customer service experience
• 1 year of similar work experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
