Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a GMP Cleaner on the 2nd shift for our Newark, CA facility. The role supports custodial services under the supervision of the Custodial Manager, performing a variety of cleaning duties to meet client standards.

The position emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Pay ranges align with local market rates and reflect experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years manufacturing cleaning experience.

• Ability to speak/read English; required by some customers.
• Team-oriented with ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.

Job Description Summary

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• All SOPs must be followed
• Performs daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, including janitorial closets and storage areas
• Performs all cleaning assignments in accordance with C&W's approved procedures
• Maintains cleaning equipment in good working condition, and notifies the Manager or Supervisor if repair or replacement is necessary
• Maintains appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areas
• Works safely always and promptly informs management about unsafe conditions existing in the work area
• Wears personal protective equipment appropriate for the task being performed
• Meets all customer and C&W Services quality expectations in assigned tasks
• Assists in orientation and training for new employees as directed
• Adheres to proper security procedures
• Notifies management about problems or opportunities that affect service to the customer
• Performs other cleaning-related duties as required

Qualification

• Manufacturing cleaning responsibilities require 2-3 years previous experience
• Advanced skills, such as hard floor and carpet maintenance, six months to one year of experience
• Ability to speak and read English is a plus and may be required by some customers
• Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $20.83 - $24.50
