Job summary

Catalent is hiring an Engineering Technician for its Harmans, MD site, a GMP manufacturing facility focused on gene therapies. The role covers maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of critical bioprocess equipment within a CMMS framework. The position is 100% onsite on the Day Shift (6am-6pm).

You will work with fermenters, bioreactors, centrifuges, and filtration systems, ensuring equipment reliability and GMP compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates/Bachelors degree preferred.
• Experience in GMP/Bio‑Pharma maintenance or engineering 3+ years.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on ladders/step stools.
• Automation/controls operation and repairs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and develop engineering solutions for maintenance, improvement, quality and safety initiatives.
• Lead troubleshooting and repair of bioprocess equipment.
• Maintain PM programs and generate PM SOPs/records.
• Use CMMS and engineering docs to manage work orders and equipment history.
• Coordinate with vendors and Catalent purchasing for parts and services.
